The night shift site representative will be the Project representative aboard the installation vessel:
- Apply the COMPANY's HSE standards and safety culture aboard the installation vessel.
- Ensure that all approved procedures are implemented during offshore operations or use the Change Management process for any modifications.
- Supervise all offshore operations aboard the installation vessel (PLSV) during the night shift.
- Act as the COMPANY's focal point aboard the vessel, along with the COMPANY's site representative (FPSO RSES) during the night shift.
H3SEQ
The service holder is also responsible for demonstrating exemplary behavior regarding the H3SEQ rules and requirements and ensuring that H3SEQ requirements are properly implemented within their area of responsibility.
Maintain awareness and ensure compliance with all relevant legal and COMPANY H3SEQ standards.
The service holder should contribute to the continuous improvement of H3SEQ performance and actively participate in developing an ambitious H3SEQ culture.

Job description
- Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behavior regarding the COMPANY's "Code of Conduct" and HSE rules and regulations. Implement HSE requirements and safety culture within their area of responsibility and meet the HSE training requirements for services.
- Participate in the preparation of offshore procedures (implementing feedback from previous operations).
- Monitor all offshore installation activities aboard the construction vessel (PLSV), including supply/barge activities, equipment transfer, deck operations, MCV connections and testing, subsea umbilical and flexible line installation activities, lifting operations, cargo handling, ROV subsea work, and offshore pre-commissioning and testing.
- Ensure that agreed procedures are implemented during offshore activities and ensure that any modifications are covered by the Change Management process.
- Review, comment, and sign the Daily Progress Report issued by the installation vessel's management team when satisfactory.
- Communicate according to the project-defined procedures (especially during joint activities or SIMOPS operations) and ensure a smooth transition and handover between shifts.
- Ensure that the installation vessel’s night shift activities comply with the planned schedule, and any deviations must be reported to shore for consideration and approval.
- Review and report any non-compliance activities to the SURF manager and follow up on related corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure proper and timely reporting to RSES-D through the daily report.
- Ensure that relevant traceability charts and subsea equipment inventory are properly maintained aboard the vessel.
- Act as the COMPANY's representative aboard the installation vessel with the primary objectives of ensuring the execution of COMOPS/SIMOPS activities and any emergency situations in accordance with the agreed Emergency Response Plan.
- Ensure that relevant certificates/checklists are ready and, when necessary, signed by the COMPANY representative and MWS in a timely manner (Ready for transport, Ready for installation, Ready for commissioning, etc.).
- Coordinate with the PLSV offshore team for the level 2 HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Analysis) risk analysis before the start of operations.
Job requirements
Offshore Engineer/Supervisor with experience in the oil and gas industry, especially in SURF.
- Knowledge of the COMPANY's CR and GS standards.
- Knowledge of Brazilian offshore regulations for maritime, environmental, and NR.
- Deep knowledge of SIMOPS and HSE rules.
- Experience in a large EPCI project.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems (HSE, technical, procurement, transport, storage and preservation, engineering, construction, quality control, schedule, costs, etc.).
- Background in construction.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take on significant responsibilities.
- Willingness to contribute and comply with the Project's Safety and Environmental requirements.
- Experience with the appropriate technical understanding of all disciplines involved.
- Organizational skills and a positive attitude, but able to raise and defend their services in accordance with contract requirements.
Languages:
- Fluent in Portuguese
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Knowledge of the following offshore operations:
- Pull in/ Pull out of risers
- Flexible line installation
- Rigid pipelay
- Riser construction, including Lazy wave and SHR
- Installation of structures
Experience working on rigid lay ships, PLSV, OSR.
