The NDT Supervisor is an essential professional responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of non-destructive testing (NDT) on board the vessel, within the COMPANY's Project team. Under the supervision of the RSES-D/On-Site Company Representative, this professional will be responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and supervising the NDT activities carried out by the Contractor and Subcontractor(s), ensuring that all contractual and technical requirements are properly implemented, while maintaining the high safety and quality standards demanded by the project.
Job description
The Supervisor will be the focal point for all welding activities within the project team, supporting the CPY team on-site during the installation phase. The key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing CONTRACTOR/SUPPLIER documentation (procedures, ITP, etc.) in coordination with other disciplines.
- Monitoring and controlling the implementation of approved procedures and plans, including surveillance plans, inspection, and AUT acceptance criteria.
- Ensuring that material certificates and equipment calibration certificates are up-to-date.
- Ensuring that the contractor's QC team conducts rigorous inspections.
- Conducting daily inspections and challenging the Contractor/Sub-suppliers on QA/QC performance.
- Immediately reporting any anomalies or non-conformities.
- Participating in daily meetings and supporting the Site Manager in coordination and reporting to the Project Manager.
- The Supervisor will also be responsible for promoting a safety culture and ensuring that H3SE requirements are implemented, demonstrating exemplary behavior regarding the Company's Ethics Policy and HSEQ standards, while seeking optimization and improvements throughout the project.
Job requirements
Level / Degree: Engineer, or equivalent
Experience in similar services with supervision of offshore operations in deep waters related to SURF activities.
Participation in a recent deep-water project, including offshore operations.
Good communication skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude.
Training: CBSP, HUET
Languages:
- Fluent English required.
- Fluent French appreciated.
Mandatory:
Certification: ISO 9712 UT Level 3 with strong experience in AUT of cladded pipes with overcoat. Ideally, experience with Saipem or A+plus RTD.
- Strong experience as an AUT interpreter onboard pipelayer or spool base vessels.
