Kick-start your Offshore career with Atlas Professionals

Atlas Professionals in Aberdeen initiated the Greenhand Programme in August 2018 for those interested in going Offshore for the first time. Since then, hundreds of Professionals have found their way into the Offshore industry.

The very first Greenhand course was held in Atlas Professionals Aberdeen office in July 2018 with the first Professional being selected by a Client for an offshore position that same day. The Aberdeen Drilling team then went on to recruit and mobilise over 100 Greenhand Roustabouts between 2018 and March 2020. With the COVID-19 pandemic impacting the offshore industry heavily after the second quarter of 2020, the Programme was put on hold to assess how to proceed in a safe and reliable manner.

In May 2021, however, the Programme was re-started with courses being held at the premises of the training provider within provided safety guidelines. Since then, the Greenhand Programme has managed to complete one milestone after the other with the Atlas’ Aberdeen office recently celebrating mobilisation of the 675th Greenhand Roustabout.
