The Surveyor will be an integral part of the SW Project team and will work under the supervision of the RSES-D. The professional will be responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and supervising all survey activities on the project, ensuring execution according to the established technical standards and safety requirements. This role is essential for the accuracy and quality of the data collected, being fundamental to the success of offshore operations.
Job description
The Surveyor will be responsible for adopting and demonstrating exemplary behavior regarding HSSE standards, ensuring the application of the Project's rules. Among their activities are:
- Ensure that survey data is acquired according to the company’s technical criteria and standards.
- Review and assess the quality of field reports and raw data, transmitting them to the onshore support team.
- Correctly collect and archive daily as-built and field reports aboard the vessel.
- Identify failures or issues in survey work and communicate them to the Company Representative and the Chief Surveyor.
- Ensure that survey services are carried out according to the approved specifications and procedures, facilitating technical exchanges between the contractor and the Company.
- During mobilization, assess the capacity of the contractor’s surveyors and ensure that navigation sensors, DGPS, and the DP vessel are properly tested and calibrated.
- Ensure the confidentiality of all documentation produced.
Job requirements
Educated to university level or higher in a related field (Master's in Surveying, Master's in Hydrography, or equivalent).
- Valid BOSIET.
- Similar experience in offshore oil and gas installation, similar experience in large offshore projects using acoustic techniques, primarily USBL and LBL systems, implemented for pipeline and subsea structure services and vessel navigation.
- Fully familiar with land surveying techniques, metrology, marine processing systems, and survey sensors, such as multi-beam fishery sensors.
- Enhanced knowledge and understanding of logistics and factors influencing the suitability and delivery of service equipment and materials.
- Proven knowledge and understanding of HSE, planning/scheduling, forecasting, and risk management.
- Communication – ability to function as part of a dispersed project team to maintain a clear understanding of design issues, progress, and objectives.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a multidisciplinary/multicultural team.
- Enhanced personal management skills – time management, priority setting, creative thinking, etc.
- Enhanced ability to develop working relationships through effective communication.
- Fluent in English.
