Early April 2019 Atlas Professionals joined the ECHT community as an exclusive Partner for the on- and offshore wind sector in the Netherlands. The active partnership will enable Atlas Professionals and ECHT to share complimentary knowledge and competences to the wind industry to contribute to a smart and sustainable climate and energy transition.
Win-win partnership
The ECHT community consists of strategic, operational and tactical partners ranging from companies to governmental and educational institutions. The community is committed to transform opportunities into action and contribution to energy transition. In other words, ECHT is a perfect partner for international leading recruitment agency Atlas Professionals, which has played a major role in the provision of professionals to nearly all the wind farms in the UK, The Netherlands, Germany and Denmark since 2008.
Erwin Coolen, co-founder of ECHT (short for Erwin Coolen and Hans Timmers, ed.) is excited about Atlas Professionals joining the ECHT Community. “The knowledge Atlas has regarding technical resources and skills in the wind sector provide ECHT with essential first-hand information which we use in our educational developments, innovation programs and actions in the Energy Transition,” says Erwin.
Wind is booming
The offshore wind sector and renewables industry in general is surging ahead as countries around the world aim to achieve their climate targets. This growth poses a serious manpower challenge for companies involved, simply because the sector is growing so quickly. “Sharing knowledge with the industry and professionals is very important to Atlas. Therefore, we have different partnerships in the renewables industry. We see enormous added value in this partnership, where we can learn from ECHT and share our knowledge with them for the Dutch market,” says Joost Pellis, Strategic Manager Renewables at Atlas Professionals.
The active partnership with ECHT Community is just one way in which Atlas engages to solve this manpower challenge. In the Netherlands, Atlas organises Wind Experience Days to engage and inspire recent graduates to start working in the renewables industry. Furthermore, the partnership announcement comes just weeks after Atlas Professionals extended their permanent recruitment and executive search services to their Singapore office to respond to the surging demand for professionals in the offshore renewables industry in the Asia Pacific region.
