Atlas Professionals attends IMCA’s Annual Seminar in Abu Dhabi

25 November 2015

Following the success of the IMCA Annual Seminar last year in London, Atlas Professionals returned to the Seminar that was hosted in Abu Dhabi. The focus of the seminar was a health check for the Marine Contracting Industry, which aimed to add value for current operations in the marine industry.

IMCA's Focus for the Marine Industry

This year’s technical programme was focused on topics such as, the challenge of adding value not cost, the latest operational and technological advances – in the fields of marine, diving, ROV and offshore survey and the need to get back to basics in operating safely and efficiently in difficult economic times.

Changing for the Economic Climate

Atlas Professionals was represented by Director Andrew Blears, ROV, Diving & Inspection Business Manager Rob Pattenden and Atlas’ Competence & Training Manager Dingena Theunisse.

“I enjoyed learning new information regarding the latest trends and developments in the marine industry and seeing how these aspects can further improve our sector, especially in the current challenging climate,” explains Dingena. “It was good to discuss these matters with attendees especially those in operational management and QHSE roles for contractors, oil companies and suppliers involved in offshore operations.”

Building Networks

Besides the scheduled itinerary, IMCA organised a number of social events, enabling Atlas to form new networks with participants. The welcome reception, desert safari and closing night beach BBQ were a great way to reinforce our relationships with clients and bring awareness of Atlas’ services to global companies.

Atlas would like to thank IMCA for organising this great event!
