The Boston office of Atlas Professionals is seeking an ROV Supervisor to work on a temporary 30–45-day job in the US. The project is set to begin in July and involves offshore structure inspections. Due to the flag of the vessel, we are only able to consider US citizens or green card holders.
Job description
- Supervise and direct all aspects of offshore ROV operations, ensuring adherence to safety procedures, operational plans, and project requirements
- Lead and manage the offshore ROV team, including pilots, technicians, and other personnel
- Plan and coordinate daily ROV tasks and schedules in collaboration with the Subsea Project Manager and other relevant stakeholders
- Ensure the ROV system and all associated equipment are in optimal working condition, overseeing pre-dive checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Oversee the deployment, operation, and recovery of the ROV system
- Ensure the acquisition of high-quality inspection data (e.g., video, sonar, CP readings, NDT) according to the inspection plan
- Maintain detailed logs and records of all ROV dives, equipment status, and maintenance activities
- Conduct pre-job briefings and post-job debriefings with the ROV team and other relevant personnel
- Liaise effectively with the vessel crew, client representatives, and other offshore personnel
Job requirements
- US citizenship or green card status - due to the vessel being US-flagged
- Proven experience as an ROV Supervisor or Superintendent, preferably on offshore wind, oil & gas, or offshore construction projects
- Experience with electric inspection class ROVs similar to Sub-Atlantic Apache ROV
- Strong technical knowledge of various ROV systems, including hydraulic, electrical, and electronic components
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills in an offshore environment
- Relevant offshore certifications, including offshore medical
