The Boston office of Atlas Professionals is aiding our client in finding a QHSE Advisor to work onshore in North Kingstown, RI. This is a one-year contract with the option to renew for an additional year. Candidates must be local to the area or willing to relocate at their own expense. The normal work schedule onshore will be 5 days per week, 10-hour days, though weekend or evening support may be needed occasionally. Willingness to shift to working offshore if required is a must.
Job description
- Drive and promote a good initiative taking QHSE culture through leading by example, using data, raising awareness, knowledge sharing, and lessons learned (registration and implementation)
- Demonstrate and promote data driven risk management through a proactive reporting culture and high-quality data management
- Planning, facilitation / participation of Safety meetings, “Toolbox Talks”, “Safety Walks”, hazid/hazop workshops
- Review of documentation/Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS)
- Monitoring and assessment of internal/external QHSE compliance and - performance using incident reporting tool (Synergi) for reporting, trend analysis etc.
- Coordinate and report safety inspections, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and report derived observations, risks, and lessons learnt.
Job requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant QHSE experience, ideally from relevant industry fields
- Relevant technical or academic background
- Excellent people, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience dealing with 3rd party contractors
- Willingness to work offshore and to obtain required offshore certifications
