Job description

The Control Engineer is responsible for the coordination of all high-voltage circuits in the wind farms operated by
wind farms operated by the company and managed from Norddeich in the Continental Europe area.
He acts as a control engineer in accordance with company Electrical Safety Rules (authorized switching orderer) 
and in this function is responsible for monitoring the SCADA systems, coordinating and carrying out switching
and execution of switching operations and the coordination of troubleshooting in SCADA and IT systems.

Works Monday-Friday in Norddeich (Germany) office. NOTE: 8 -10 hours per day!

The tasks are carried out in 24/7 shift operation. 

  • Shift work in a 3-shift system, 7-day week
  • Carrying out switching operations as an authorized person in cooperation with the Offshore team
  • Interface to the national grid operator
  • Creation and review of switching protocols incl. execution permit.
  • Participation in the risk assessment for the approval of offshore work. (Work Authorization)
  • Monitoring and processing of alarms in the SCADA system
  • Instruction of external company employees with regard to safety regulations in the electrical sector
  • Support in troubleshooting and rectification, including the creation of work orders in SAP.
  • Coordination of immediate measures in the event of a fault.
