Atlas Professionals are searching for an experience HSE Advisor to join one of our clients on a short-term contract. This role is based in Emden, Germany.
• Undertake regular SiGe Coordinator tasks as per section 3 (2) BaustellV, and section 3 (3) BaustellV, such as:
o Coordination of the measures from the General Principles according to section 4 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act during the planning of execution, as well as application of same during construction.
o Determination of interactions relevant to safety and health between the work of the individual trades on site and other operational activities or influences on or near the construction site.
o Highlighting of the possibilities for avoiding safety and health risks.
o Drawing up of a safety and health plan or arranging for it to be drawn up and adapting it where necessary to the planning process.
o HSE and coordination consultancy during the planning and construction phase
o Publication, adaption and updating of the safety and health plan and taking action to ensure adherence to it and implementation of the necessary occupational safety and health measures by the companies involved.
o Organisation of the combined action of the executing companies with respect to safety and health protection, for example in the form of safety meetings and inspections with documentation and evaluation of the results.
o Coordination of the monitoring of the proper application of the working procedures by the employers, for example by requesting evidence.
o Taking action to ensure adherence to any construction site regulations and a construction site equipment plan (if these exist) with a view to the avoidance Title : GPW ORDER FORM [Order form 774879 / Request 231765 ] of mutual hazards.
o Support the project QHSE Manager as required.
• participation and planning of kick-offs
• and review of the contractors’ HSE plan, Emergency Response Plan, Risk Assessed Method Statements, and other relevant documentation
• Assist with surveillance of the onshore and offshore construction site.
• Assist (if and as needed) Site HSE Management in preparing the site specific HSE documentations and concepts.
• Participate in Meetings (e.g. Safety Day, HAZIDs, ROC Drills) if and as needed.
• Inform the project in case of changes in German HSE legislation
• Ensure regular trend analysis is done on HSE proactive and reactive measurements. Ensure actions are taking in accordance with observed trends.
• Support the Project QHSE Manager is regular meeting with GAA and BG, or other German authority parties.
• Other tasks as required and directed by the Project QHSE Manager
• If so required, manage day to day operations of the QHSE Advisors team.
Job description
The consultant will be covering a SiGe-Coordinator role for the two German offshore wind projects: Godewind 03 & Borkum Riffgrund 03. The consultant will be working out of the Emden Construction Office in Germany. Regular travel in Europe and offshore will be required. The shift pattern is Mon-Fri, however the consultant may be required to work according to a 14/14 shift pattern for a short period of time.
