Human Capital specialist Atlas Professionals confirms membership of Amsterdam IJmuiden Offshore Ports

28 November 2019

Atlas Professionals has officially confirmed its membership of Amsterdam IJmuiden Offshore Ports during the WindEurope Offshore exhibition in Copenhagen. “This step is in line with our strategy to make the most of our ability to share and leverage on our experience in on- and offshore wind,” says Joost Pellis, Strategic Manager Renewables & Marine at Atlas. Amsterdam IJmuiden Offshore Ports now has 79 members in the North Sea Canal region, focused on the offshore extraction of gas & oil and wind energy.
Headquartered in the Netherlands, Atlas Professionals is a global provider of recruitment and HR services to the energy, maritime and wind industry. Since its establishment in 1982, the company has grown into an HR services provider with 26 offices in 18 countries. Atlas Professionals opened its second office in the United States in Boston this October to better facilitate its clients and recently started supporting activities in Taiwan. The company’s extensive worldwide network allows it to supply scarcely available qualified offshore staff to all major wind farm projects in Northern Europe.

Great addition

“We are very pleased that Atlas Professionals has joined our association,” says Ron Davio, chairman of Amsterdam IJmuiden Offshore Ports. “Its services are an excellent addition for our members in view of the construction of the four Hollandse Kust Zuid wind farms by Vattenfall. Together with the other companies focused on personnel services, Atlas Professionals can support our members with activities that require lots of well-trained personnel such as wind turbine maintenance.”

Relevance of knowledge sharing

Joost Pellis agrees: “With the clear presence, professionalism and visibility of Amsterdam IJmuiden Offshore Ports, combined with the work that will become available in the region, this is the perfect time for us to become a member. In addition to a high demand for qualified personnel, investments in knowledge sharing and the further dissemination of all career opportunities will be needed in the future. This involves activities such as informing and stimulating the current generation of students and potential employees from other sectors; the professionals of tomorrow. Our membership of AYOP will help disseminate the knowledge we have built up over the years to other members in the network.”

Joining forces in Copenhagen

The membership was officially signed at Atlas Professionals' exhibition stand C3-C5 at WindEurope Offshore 2019 in Copenhagen. The exhibition and conference is the world’s largest platform for the offshore wind sector.
