It’s that time of the year again where we gear up for another exciting set of 12 months and get a chance to reminisce about events and developments that shaped our past year! As Atlas Professionals, we were once more at the frontier of Energy, Marine & Renewables and throughout our bid to further improve, we found ourselves amid a dynamic landscape of innovation and progress in the year 2023. Here are some of the key events that shaped our 2023 and allow us to be excited about 2024 and onwards!
Atlas Professionals welcomes 2024 with a new CEO, Neil Tregarthen: Last quarter of 2023 witnessed Alas Professionals welcoming a new CEO, Neil Tregarthen, to lead both Atlas Professionals and NextWave Partners into new frontiers.
Neil explains his enthusiasm and reason behind his decision as follows: “After retiring from NES Global Talent on the back of ten very successful and rewarding years, I’ve been asked a number of times to get back into the recruitment sector and have always turned the opportunities down. Something felt different about Atlas Professionals and NextWave Partners however, which I ultimately concluded was, large operational footprint with great potential for growth in attractive business segments, along with a chance to disrupt the marketplace a little bit (or even a big bit!). That’s an exciting challenge for all involved and from a personal perspective, given the fact that the fundamental need in my life, is for “challenge”. I look forward to sharing that excitement with everyone in the group over the next few years.”

In response to the challenges posed by rapid environmental changes, the report outlines our dedication to making a positive impact on the planet, society, and stakeholders. Retaining our EcoVadis Silver classification: Atlas Professionals also retained their EcoVadis score while bolstering our overall standing within its categories. This achievement marks a significant milestone in our commitment to sustainable practices and corporate responsibility and represents a 20% increase from our previous score, propelling us from the 78th percentile to an impressive 92nd percentile, while effectively demonstrating our dedication to being part of the conversation.
We remain dedicated to achieving a more sustainable future and are looking forward to greeting you with this year’s report to share exciting new updates on our sustainability policies.
Atlas Professionals completed yet another Offshore Energy on a positive note: As one of the premier events of our industries, Offshore Energy represents all stakeholders to get together and explore what our industries have in store for the future. Just like past years, Atlas Professionals attended Offshore Energy 2023 with a stand and got a chance to connect with old acquaintances and meet new faces – complete with multiple engaging activities like a unique fishing game and a network drink to enjoy the occasion!
We look forward to participating in similar events across the globe to further bridge Professionals and Clients and being part of the conversation.
Atlas Professionals and Star of the South win Industry Collaboration Award: Time to discuss what has been going on Down Under! Last year, Atlas Professionals, in collaboration with Star of the South, has been honoured with the Industry Collaboration Award at the Subsea Energy Australia Business Awards 2023.
The recognition stems from our joint effort in creating the "Offshore Wind Jobs Guide," a comprehensive resource for the Australian Offshore Wind Industry. Atlas Professionals will continue to be an influential partner of the booming Australian Offshore Wind industry in the upcoming years.
Atlas Professionals welcomes Klaipeda, Lithuania office: Sveiki, Lithuania! Last year, Atlas Professionals opened their first office in Klaipeda, Lithuania. This expansion marks a significant stride in our company's global footprint, reaffirming its commitment to delivering top-notch recruitment services to Clients and Professionals in the Baltic region. The Klaipeda office will focus on providing tailored recruitment solutions in key sectors such as Maritime and Shipping, Dredging and Marine Construction, Oil and Gas, Offshore Wind, and Renewables.
A new and improved website: This year, we also had a chance to greet with you with a new website full of interesting and useful features that have already received significant positive feedback. We are looking forward to updating our new platform with various new features and other quality of life updates in the upcoming year, so stay tuned for more news!
Holding multiple recruitment events across the globe: Connecting with our Professionals is our number one priority – and what better way to achieve that than holding recruitment events across some key markets!
2023 witnessed Atlas Professionals holding recruitment events in two new countries and three new cities, namely Split, Croatia as well as Gdansk and Warsaw, Poland. We also held recruitment events in busy hubs such as Riga, Latvia and multiple Greenhand Recruitment events both with our Clients and on our own in Aberdeen, Scotland. We are excited to cooperate with thousands of experienced and new Professionals we met during these endeavours and are looking forward to organising even more events in the upcoming months!
HEROES 2024: We are delighted to announce that 2023 also marked the release of our 10th HEROES magazine!
