Leading international recruitment firm Atlas Professionals has retained their respectable classification that puts them in the top 8% of best performing companies in terms of sustainable business practices.
Atlas Professionals has been awarded the Silver distinction in EcoVadis 2023 Sustainability Ratings, with an impressive overall score of 69 out of 100 – drastically improving our standing in all categories and making tangible progress in our bid to introduce sustainable business practices across the board. This achievement marks a significant milestone in our commitment to sustainable practices and corporate responsibility and represents a 20% increase from our previous score, propelling us from the 78th percentile to an impressive 92nd percentile, while effectively demonstrating our dedication to being part of the conversation.
EcoVadis is a widely recognized and trusted platform for evaluating and rating the sustainability and corporate social responsibility performance of companies and organisations. EcoVadis classifications provides businesses with a comprehensive assessment of their environmental, social, and ethical practices throughout their supply chain. Below are the four main categories the classification has, and our performance:
• Environment: Our score in this category has seen a substantial rise from 60 in 2022 to an impressive 80 in 2023, showcasing our deep-seated dedication to environmental responsibility.
• Labor & Human Rights: We have made substantial strides, increasing our score from 60 in 2022 to 70 in 2023, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to promoting the welfare of our employees and respecting human rights.
• Ethics: We have maintained a consistent score in 2023, underscoring our unwavering commitment to ethical business practices across the globe.
• Sustainable Procurement: While this area continues to be a focus for improvement, we have maintained our previous score, with plans for further enhancement in the upcoming year, as per our Sustainability report.
Kate Knott, QHSE Manager, who also leads the bulk of Atlas Professionals ESG efforts, expressed her enthusiasm for this remarkable achievement: "We take immense pride in our Silver Award in the 2023 Sustainability Ratings. We believe that retaining our award while performing significantly better in almost all metrics underscores our dedication to sustainable practices and our responsibility as a corporate entity. However, we also acknowledge how we were just one point away from achieving the Gold classification, which fuels our determination to pursue Gold in 2024, aiming for even higher sustainability benchmarks."
