Cooperation and collaboration bring out the best of us - and this certainly was the case when it comes to detailing the fruitful relationship between Atlas Professionals and Star of the South!
We are incredibly honoured and humbled to announce that the joint effort to draft a guide for everything related to the Australian Offshore Wind Industry, promptly named Offshore Wind Jobs Guide, has won the Industry Collaboration Award at the Subsea Energy Australia Business Awards 2023.
The Offshore Wind Jobs Guide is aimed to be a comprehension guide for all who aim to delve deep into the ever-developing world of Australian Offshore Wind. It is focused on allowing interested Professionals to either commence their Offshore career from scratch or initiate the transition process to Offshore Wind from other, similar, industries by providing critical information they otherwise might not have access to.
As Australia’s biggest and most important Offshore Wind project, Star of the South already employs a significant number of Professionals. However, the scope and size of the industry keeps increasing – making it essential to ensure there is sustainable access to talented Professionals eyeing an entry into the market. Readers of the guide will quickly find out that within its pages, they will have access to all the details they need to kickstart their Offshore wind career. The guide contains all the following information.
• A detailed description of some of the most popular positions the industry requires,
• Testimonials from Professionals who have worked or are still working in the industry, and,
• A comprehensive list of qualifications, certificates and courses a Professional will need in order to kickstart their Offshore Wind career.
We once again want to thank our partners at Star of the South who made this project possible, extend our gratitude to our outstanding colleagues in Australia and New Zealand that worked hard to achieve this result and specifically congratulate Lara Taylor and Ian Marshall for their dedication.
Of course, The Jobs Guide was a project that many dedicated individuals and organizations poured their hearts into. We also would like to acknowledge the significant input from TAFE Gippsland, Federation University Australia, Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation (GLaWAC), Victorian Skills Authority, Yallourn Power Station, Offshore and Specialist Ships Australia, and the Victorian Trades Hall Council.
