In October 2022, we had the great honour of going aboard the Semi-Submersible Accommodation Vessel OOS Tiradentes. It was an amazing experience; I want to take this chance to share my impressions and insight regarding the trip and how we aim to provide the best possible match between our Professionals and our Clients like OOS International.
Before I start to detail my experience, I would like to thank OOS International for offering this opportunity. OOS International, a longstanding Client of Atlas Professionals, is an offshore service provider for ship management, accommodation, decommissioning and heavy lifting. OOS International offers unique assets that go beyond customer expectations and put great emphasis on providing safe, high quality and environmentally friendly operations.
Here in Atlas Professionals, we value being a steadfast bridge that introduces our Professionals to our Clients by promoting various positions within Marine, Energy & Renewables industries and trips like these allow our colleagues to understand who we are representing and what exactly our industries look like. This is why we are dedicated to continuing our collaboration with our Clients to ensure beneficial (and fun!) trips like these can take place on a regular basis.
We Invest in People
I always believed it is a good idea to break our routines and engage with new concepts; after all, as the Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa once said, sailing is necessary. Aligned with his nicely put words, I recognize it is important for stakeholders of our industries to understand what exactly goes on within the work sites of our Clients to ensure we can always respond to changing demands and business needs of both our Clients and Professionals.
My time within the OOS Tiradentes was a very special moment, as I was able to get to know the routine of our offshore colleagues, who strive so hard to do a job of excellence and represent the core of what we do, for the first time. Witnessing the harmony of our colleagues using high-tech devices, heavy machinery, as well as cooperation between Professionals, allow to reflect on the importance of our work and understand the importance of each member of this long and powerful chain - from recruitment to all the way to the management of our offshore Professionals.
We also had a chance to discuss if our Professionals required any specific assistance from us regarding their affairs, such as the state of their PPE or finances, and to convey their thoughts directly to our team. After all, their level of satisfaction is a testament to our success and allows us to continue doing what we do best for our Clients.
A Moment to Be Shared
To immortalize and share this fun and engaging visit, and in collaboration with the marketing department, we engaged with a local photographer and videographer to ensure high quality images of our Professionals and colleagues can be captured.
I learned from our marketing team that for good photographs, you need a lot of preparations, make good use of various techniques and be lucky with the weather during the day, and thankfully that wasn't difficult due to OOS Tiradentes being docked in the wonderful city of Rio de Janeiro!
All in all, the photoshoot turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip, as it was really fun, and we hope you also enjoy these images shared below.
I want to thank OOS for the opportunity on behalf of Atlas Professionals and our Brazil team. As our journey was coming to an end and before I was leaving the OOS Tiradentes, I took a quick look back and realized the importance of the work we are doing. I hope everyone working in our industry gets a chance to experience what I experienced today and understand the importance of day-to-day tasks our Professionals are handling with superb levels of skill and excellency.
I am looking forward to my next vessel visit – and I hope I get a chance to talk more about it too!
