On 1 October 2019, international leading recruitment company Atlas Professionals will cut the ribbon of their newest office in Boston. The office, located on 50 Milk Street at the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), will enable the company to further establish itself as the number one provider of professionals to the offshore marine, energy and renewables industries.
The new Boston office will be the company’s second in the US and will work closely with the Houston-based team to grow the US workforce. Next to this, the office is set to form close alliances with trade unions, local academic institutes and maritime academies in the US.
Offshore Wind in the US
The decision to open an office in Boston is based on the city being a leading Bluetech hub and the growing project pipeline of offshore wind energy in the US, where most of the nearer term activity is concentrated in the Atlantic of the Northeast coast. With this move, Atlas is laying down the foundations to excel in the US renewables sector. “We are delighted to announce a presence in Boston,” says Laura Smith, Business Manager North America at Atlas Professionals.
“This location has great East Coast connections and will give us access to a large pool of US based clients and professionals to fuel the continued growth of Atlas Professionals in the States,” Laura adds. “It will be our pleasure to meet new and existing customers along with suppliers, partners, professionals, trade unions, colleagues and friends over the next months,” she concludes.
Growing Renewables Business Line
Renewables is an important and growing business line for Atlas Professionals, which currently sees 35% of their professionals working in the renewable industry. “This office opening once again demonstrates our long-term commitment to support our Renewables clients wherever they go, as well as offering continuous support to our Energy & Marine clients,” Martine Rondeel, Strategic Director Renewables at Atlas Professionals adds.
