9 May 2018
Offshore energy industry experts and leaders from across the world came together at NRG Park in Houston 30 April – 3 May to celebrate the 50th edition of the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC).
Global presence
More than 61,300 attendees from over 100 countries gathered at the annual conference while the exhibition covered more than 585,000 net square feet, including outdoor exhibits. The 2018 edition focused on subjects such as the current state of the industry, reducing costs and improving overall value, breakthrough technologies in a low oil price environment and industry-leading safety practices.
“The event was a huge success for Atlas and provided a great platform to celebrate the integration of the four Programmed Marine offices in Houston, Aberdeen, Dubai and Singapore into the Atlas family. It provided us with a great opportunity to meet many old and new faces during our networking event and demonstrate our ability to service multiple business lines from our regional office” – Laura Smith, Business Manager Houston.
Competence is key
Next to this a lot of interest was shown in the Atlas Competence Programme. Atlas was the first agency operating an easily accessible, quality driven Competence Management Programme. The programme, based on IMCA guidelines, offers professionals the option to further demonstrate their competence to clients for particular roles, adding more substance to a CV and certification through additional training and proven competency assessments.
And the winner is…
Passing by our stand was also the ideal moment to test your industry knowledge. We thank those who took part in the Atlas quiz. We congratulate Nicole Munson, Sr. Business Partner at Transocean, for winning the Oil & Gas Monopoly board game.
