Broome Indigenous Trainee and Cadet Partnership Program | Part 3

Broome, Australia - On the 9th of May 2018 two Aboriginal Local Broome residents Calvin and Simon commenced their journey as Advanced Standing Deck Cadets.

This pathway allows the already qualified Integrated Ratings to complete eight months sea time offshore as Understudy of Navigational Watch before commencing the Diploma of Maritime Operations (Deck Watchkeeper) at Swan Maritime in Fremantle in 2020. This Shell funded program has provided KT Maritime and Atlas Professionals the opportunity to collaborate and offer a fantastic pathway for these individuals to progress in their career offshore.
