Production and Maintenance Goes the Extra Mile for Total E&P Nederland

4 January 2016

For eight years, Atlas’ Production and Maintenance (P&M) business line has built a strong foundation through a service agreement with Total E&P Nederland. The agreement gives Atlas a major responsibility; to supply crane operators to Total on the Dutch continental shelf. However, through this agreement Atlas has become more than just a supplier for Total E&P.

Our pool of experts

The agreement gives Atlas’ P&M business line full responsibility in all operational planning for crane drivers working on global projects. Atlas has created a pool of seventeen highly-skilled crane operators to fill the seven positions on Total’s production platforms and satellites. This pool gives Atlas the control in the planning, training and replacement of crane operators on a continual basis, filling in positions when they are required.

Total E&P Nederland will inform Atlas about the positions available a year in advance, allowing them to select the right candidate for the right role.

Investing in our workforce

Together with Total E&P Nederland, Atlas has also developed a training program for junior crane operators. At the end of the course each candidate will become a certified operator and will have the opportunity to work for Total E&P Nederland, other oil companies or service companies via Atlas.

On both sides of the spectrum, this is a win-win situation for both companies as Total E&P Nederland does not need to intervene in the planning or operations related to crane operators, while Atlas acts as a full service company and continues to build upon good client relations. Atlas can provide flexible and tailored made solutions to fit all of our clients’ needs and have become a trusted and dependable personnel provider worldwide.
