Two Jan de Nul cutter suction dredgers, the 2010-built Ibn Battuta and Zheng He, were drydocked and repaired recently at Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine (N-KOM).
In addition to the routine repair scope, the major spud repairs and modifications were undertaken for the vessels.
N-KOM had previously completed two other repairs for Jan de Nul; the massive 78,386dwt suction hopper dredger Leiv Eiriksson back in July 2015 and J.F.J de Nul, the world’s most powerful cutter suction dredger, in early 2014.
Strategically located at the heart of oil and gas activities in the Arabian Gulf, N-KOM offers a comprehensive range of marine services as well as solutions for the oil and gas industry.
