At Atlas we take compliancy very seriously, with this in mind; two of our offices have received their attestations for the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) 2006.
The MLC applies to the living and working conditions of international seafarers and will ensure the welfare of the world’s seafarers and their families.
Praise for our Procedures
Atlas’ Romania office in Constanta specialises in offshore marine sector with a dedicated team that sources new opportunities for local content. Soon after opening its doors in July, Bureau Veritas carried out an audit in their office.
“The auditor was full of praise for our procedures and systems,” says Atlas’ Commercial Director Paul Steeghs. “The auditor immediately confirmed that we would receive our attestation. After finishing the process we received our certificate. We take pride in being fully certified in all of our offices, and getting additions certified so rapidly, with the support of the group.”
MLC in Vic
Atlas’ Seismic and Electromagnetic office in Vic, Spain has also received its attestation to be MLC certified. The office went through a recent brand change and became an official Atlas office towards the end of September.
“As our coverage expands, we are well prepared to ensure that all offices are operating in compliance with international standards such as the Maritime Labour Convention 2006. This is an important convention for Atlas, its clients and its employees, and confirms that Atlas’ selection, recruitment and placement procedures are fully compliant.” – QHSE Manager Kate Knott
