Atlas is in Lowestoft
UKPS Offshore was one of the original agencies that focussed on the supply of high-quality ROV personnel and worked with leading figures in the offshore industry. However, in May 2015 UKPS decided to close its doors for good leaving their remaining contractors to look for alternative agencies and the staff to find new jobs.
At the time of their closure, Atlas Director Andrew Blears approached two of UKPS’ staff, Team Leader Tonia Weldon and Personnel Coordinator Rosie Parr, two dedicated members of UKPS that were already known to Atlas. After realising that both Tonia and Rosie worked with the same values as Atlas, along with Andrew Blears they decided to form a new Atlas sales office based in Lowestoft, Suffolk using the expertise and experience of Tonia and Rosie to head the office.
New Opportunities for ROV Personnel
The new Atlas office will introduce new opportunities for these personnel and will complement Atlas’ current ROV team, developing a stronger business line for both professionals and clients.
Director Andrew Blears explains what this new office would mean for the new personnel and for Atlas, “We value people, their experience and knowledge and in doing this we hope to strengthen our position in the ROV sector. The skill sets from Tonia and Rosie will not only strengthen our current relationships with clients, but will also sustain the high- quality of ROV personnel that we supply, even during the current downturn.
Meet the Lowestoft Team
Our new team members have already made their mark in the supply of offshore agency personnel. Team leader Tonia Weldon has worked in the industry for a number of years and has worked with both clients and agencies. As she has worked hard in developing her client and professional relations she will take on the role of Operations Manager within the new office.
Personnel Coordinator Rosie Parr is a diligent team member who cares for all the professionals she has worked with. They will be a great addition to Atlas Professionals and we wish them the best of luck in their new roles.”
“We’re both so excited to be joining Atlas Professionals,” says Tonia Weldon, “I’m personally looking forward to reconnecting with some old and new clients and building new relationships through Atlas.”
The office’s location is another asset to Atlas, as Lowestoft is the main port that serves the Southern North Sea and is the epicentre of East Coast Renewables, and their major wind farm project which is due to start production in 2017.
Atlas’ Lowestoft office will officially open on 15th June 2015, and will introduce new ROV personnel and other related disciplines to Atlas Professionals.
