With the largest list of registered professionals in the offshore geophysical survey industry, Atlas’ Geomotive office in Vic, Spain is at the forefront of providing geophysical personnel to the offshore industry.
Since joining forces with Atlas Professionals in August 2013, Geomotive have been working hard to align their existing systems and processes with that of Atlas, to fully implement the Atlas Professionals ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System, and to operate in compliance with the Maritime Labour Convention 2006 (MLC 2006).
“ISO 9001 certification is an internationally recognised standard that will provide further reassurance to our clients of the quality and reliability of our QMS,” says Geomotive Director Neil Grosse. “Kate Knott has done a great job in preparing us and we are looking forward to the audit in April.”
During November, the Atlas Professionals QHSE Manager, Kate Knott, visited the Vic office and delivered an ISO and MLC presentation to all staff members. “The office underwent an initial internal audit for ISO and MLC with the view to identifying any areas which required further attention ahead of certification which is planned for April 2015,” explains Kate Knott. “It was found that many of the requirements of ISO and MLC are already fully embedded within the working processes of Geomotive. The company showed that they were well prepared for ISO 9001:2008 certification, and latterly MLC 2006 Attestation of Compliance, during 2015.”
By gaining an ISO and MLC certification, both the clients and personnel of Geomotive can be sure that they will receive an efficient and superior level of service, with Health, Safety and Employment issues high on the agenda.
