Atlas Professionals are looking for a Training/Crewing Co-ordinator to join our US Marine Team.

This role entails working with one of our key clients on a new project, to provide support for all the marine training requirements for the professionals working onboard a new US flagged vessel.

What does the day to day look like?

You will be responsible for the training requirements for US mariners, who are deployed on an offshore wind farm vessel in the northeast of the US. This means ensuring that the relevant certification requirements are met in line with the Client Matrix. You will communicate with the professionals to organise and book the necessary training, updating relevant systems and inform the client of progress. On a day-to-day basis you will be liaising with the Clients and the Crew Manager with regards to STCW and industry courses to be booked, crew changes to be scheduled and coordinating all marine related aspects of the offshore personnel.

We are looking for someone that thrives on working closely with offshore professionals, has a keen eye for detail and enjoys coordinating and organising training, travel and logistics.

Job requirements

As a training and crew coordinator you will be the point of contract for all marine training requirements. You also must be able to work in the US without sponsorship. In addition to this you will be required to have the following experience and skill sets:

  • Previous experience working in a training or maritime capacity
  • Previous experience using comprehensive training matrices
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Able to analyse and use large data sets
  • Experience organising, coordinating diaries and booking various training courses
  • Able to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Enjoy communicating with professionals, training providers, clients and other external stakeholders
  • Marine experience is preferred, but not essential
