Operator

Atlas Professionals is seeking a dedicated and skilled All-Round Operator to join our team at a leading energy terminal in Amsterdam. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in executing a variety of operational tasks across the terminal, including activities at the waterfront, tank farm, and control room. Working in a 5-shift system, the operator ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant handling of fuel products while maintaining operational excellence.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely load and unload ships and trucks.
• Manage blending and product transfers via pipeline systems.
• Monitor and adjust production processes to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and address minor technical issues.
• Complete operational checklists and ensure accurate documentation.
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment and terminal systems.
• Supervise on-site personnel and enforce compliance with safety regulations.
• Handle administrative tasks related to terminal operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) policies and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Key Communication Lines

• Reports to: Shift Supervisor
• Collaborates with: Operations Manager, Shift Team (including Master Operator and fellow Operators)
• Works closely with: Departments such as Planning, Integrity Management, and Engineering

Job requirements

Requirements

• Technical aptitude or a willingness to learn industrial processes and technology.
• MTS or equivalent education; Vapro B certification preferred.
• Experience in safety and quality procedures within an industrial environment.
• Familiarity with operational systems such as ETAS and utilities.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English (both written and spoken).
• Must be be living in the Amsterdam Area.
• Prior experience in the petrochemical industry is a plus.

Certifications (Preferred or Willing to Obtain)

• First Aid (EHBO)
• SOC (Safety Operations Certificate)
• Gas Testing
• NEN 3140 VOP
• ATEX A2
• ADN-ADR 1.3
