About the role: This role exists to safeguard operations against unplanned maintenance activities and emergency shutdowns. The role holder inspects and executes operational activities on production equipment, reacts to disturbances in the production process, in line with operational plans and in liaison with the Lead Process Operator and other onshore personnel, to ensure safe and consistent. equipment performance to deliver agreed production goals. The role holder ensures compliance. with all governmental and company regulations, legislation, procedures, standards, and instructions, including HSEQ and Competence Assurance.
Responsibilities
- Process Operations: Operate production equipment in the assigned area according to operational plans, examine progress, identify problems, and take appropriate actions after approval of the Lead Process Operator, so that the operations are undisturbed and work efficiently.
- Equipment Control: Inspect the conditions of equipment, carry out system and production equipment safety checks, and investigate and resolve unplanned problems as necessary, in consultation with the Lead Process Operator and Technicians, to control the equipment and prevent potentially hazardous situations arising.
- Maintenance Support: Isolate mechanical equipment according to operational plans and in liaison with the Lead Process Operator and Technicians, and put equipment into production after maintenance is complete, to ensure that required maintenance activities are undertaken in a safe operating environment.
- General LPO Support: Support the Lead Process Operator on request in the daily operational activities, to support to operational process control. Act as deputy LPO to operate the process control system during absence of the LPO, to keep the system running safely and efficiently.
- Lab Analysis: Take and log samples, prepare and carry out laboratory analyses according to standard procedures, report results. Comment on trends and report issues to the Shift Supervisor and
- Lead Process Operator, to provide information about quality of material and waste and for further analysis.
- Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Competence Assurance: Comply with HSEQ procedures, rules and regulations and contribute to building awareness among other personnel in- and outside the department, to maintain and continuously improve a safe and healthy working environment. Conduct and/or attend safety briefings, recognize, and correct unsafe or hazardous conditions to minimize accidents, incidents, and environmental harm. Participate in the emergency team to ensure fast resolution of emergency situations and protect the safety and security of all personnel and equipment. Complete the allocated Units of Competence related to Process operations and HSE.
Job requirements
Education: Vocational level (technical)
Work Experience Minimum of 3 years offshore experience in the E&P industry.
Certifications All offshore mandatory as set by Element and SENL.
Nice to have:
- NOGEPA 1.9 Banksman.
- NOGEPA 1.1 HLO including refuelling.
- NOGEPA 2.6 Fire team member.
- NOGEPA 1.4 Gas measurement.
- Preferably NOGEPA 2.7 C&F Coxswain lifeboat.
- Preferably NOGEPA 2.2 Offshore first aid.
Key Technical Skills and Competencies:
- Know the plant and be aware of the consequences of own actions and activities.
- Run operational tasks as efficiently as possible, balance planned and unplanned activities.
- Assist the Lead Process Operator.
- Preferably mechanical skills.
- Good communication skills.
