Atlas Professionals is looking for professionals to work as Offshore Equipment Operator with one of the clients of the office in Houston, United States. It’s a temporary position in United States. Do you have the necessary experience?

Job description

About the Role:
As an Operator, you will work either onshore or offshore, operating and maintaining the clients carousel systems, tensioners, and loading towers. The basket carousel and loading tower system will be used for transporting and handling the umbilicals on deck during the installation process. You will play an important role in operating our equipment, supporting the transport and installation of umbilicals. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain subsea cable lay systems, carousel systems, and loading towers safely and efficiently to optimize cable installation processes.
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
  • Understand the scope of the Cable Installation Project and reviews all project specific Cable installation documentation.
  • Monitor equipment performance and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the project team and clients to ensure smooth operations.
  • Report incidents during your shift to the supervisor/superintendent.
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental regulations while working.

Job requirements

Certifications: 
  • Electrical or mechanical education with electrical/hydraulic experience.
  • OGUK Medical
  • BOSIET with CA-EBS
  • Seaman's Book
  • Chester Step Test
  • VCA or equivalent (SCC: Safety Certificate for Contractors)
  • First Aid

Experience:
  • At least 3 years experience as an equipment operator of carousels and tensioners.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • High safety awareness, problem-solving skills, and a hands-on attitude.
