Job description

About the Role:
Our basket carousel and loading tower system will be used for transporting and handling the umbilicals on deck during the installation process. As an Equipment Supervisor, you play a crucial role in overseeing the operation, maintenance, and safety of specialized equipment used during operations. You will assist in operating our equipment, supporting the transport and installation of umbilicals. You are first point of contact for crew.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain subsea cable lay systems, carousel system and loading tower safely and efficiently to optimize cable installation processes.
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
  • Monitor equipment performance and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the project team and clients to ensure smooth operations.
  • (Daily-) Reporting during your shift to the project manager.
  • Ensuring all equipment is used in accordance with operational procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Coordinating with crew, project teams, and offshore personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Conducting risk assessments and safety drills related to equipment operations.
  • Supporting project-specific requirements, such as subsea construction, surveying, or installation tasks.

Job requirements

Certifications: 
  • Electrical or mechanical education with electrical/hydraulic experience.
  • OGUK Medical
  • BOSIET with CA-EBS
  • Seaman's Book
  • Chester Step Test
  • VCA or equivalent (SCC: Safety Certificate for Contractors)
  • First Aid

Experience:
  • At least 3-5 years of offshore handling and supervisor experience.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • High safety awareness, problem-solving skills, and a hands-on attitude.
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
