Success in Stavanger! Atlas Professionals at ONS 2016
September 6, 2016 - Coraline Mulder
Last week, Atlas Professionals exhibited at the ONS exhibition and conference in Stavanger, Norway. The exhibition attracted over 65,000 people across the four days and was the second largest ONS ever. 1,241 exhibitors from 40 countries showcased their companies to visitors from all over the world. As Atlas’ first time exhibiting at ONS it was a great opportunity to introduce our company and our team in Stavanger.
Collaborating towards a brighter future
With this year’s event theme based on ‘Transition’, the conferences and technical sessions focussed on how to reinvent our industries to tackle with the future of the oil & gas market. The diversity of conference topics ranged from industry leadership to decommissioning and the oil and gas market in Norway; there was something for everyone.
Networking with Norway
On the second day, Atlas Professionals hosted a network event at their stand in Hall 6. It was great to see so many people attend the event, try the local bites that were served and get a chance to know Atlas’ Norwegian team.
Although Norway’s oil and gas market is in economic difficulty, the event allowed companies to get together, discuss ideas and form key partnerships to find a way out of this current situation.
Marc Leene Manager Energy: "For Atlas Professionals ONS was a great opportunity to speak to our International clients and prospects as they were almost all present at this exhibition. It also gave us new insights into the future development of the Oil & Gas Industry."
Work hard, play hard
However, the event wasn’t all about the industry. ONS also organised a festival across three nights at Stavanger harbour, where visitors could experience live music and some local cuisine. Exhibitors could also take part in the local ‘Run for fun’; a 4km route through the streets of Stavanger. Atlas’ Business Managers Jean Paul de Jong and Robin van Woerden and Chief Operations Officer Jeroen Ekkel took part in the run and completed the route in under 45 minutes. The event was rounded off with a fantastic fireworks display on the final night.
As Atlas’ first event in Norway, the ONS exhibition was a great success and the ideal opportunity for us to introduce our team and meet new clients in this part of the world.
