Ocean Business is fast approaching and once again, as Atlas Professionals, we will be there to discuss what exciting developments our industries have in store for our Professionals, colleagues and other stakeholders. Here is Paul Hampton, Global Business Development Manager, on why this is one pay attention to.
If you are a geek (like me) for everything that is offshore technology, then this is the show for you!
Quoted as ‘The Global meeting place for Ocean Science and Technology Professionals’, this event occurs every other year, back to back with ‘Oceanology’ in London. These are both the critical events for the Specialty offices of Atlas Professionals but also, more recently, for Renewables and our other offices dealing with Marine and support.
On display will be the cutting-edge advances within the industry from the leading developers and service providers. There are real time demonstrations in Southampton water of all the newest sensors, survey tools, autonomous systems, ROVs and offshore systems including survey vessels, in addition to numerous talks that address the future and challenges facing our industry.
Based in the UK’s National Oceanography Centre, this is a center of excellence for the advancement of knowledge of all things to do with our seas and oceans and as such there is a big academic lean to this event, with a lot of students (and prospective Professionals!) attending. As such, I will be giving a talk on the conversion from academia to commercial offshore work (from my own experience studying in Southampton for my Master’s degree)!
But this is not only a showcase for all that is great and good in the industry: it is a chance to reconnect with existing networks and to new ones as both Clients and Professionals love to attend this event, and what’s more, for Atlas Professionals to have a big presence this year with an awesome stand as a focus point.
Join our celebratory get together staring from 1500 on Tuesday, 18th of April!
We are also going to hold a celebratory event to highlight our 40 years in the industry with a special occasion! You are all invited to come join us in our stand at Q11 where we will be enjoying a drink or two, grab some quick bites and enjoy a nice conversation with all our partners as we are hoping to catch up with some familiar faces and meet new ones.
Should you want more information, have ideas you would like to share, or just want to talk about opportunities then reach out to me, Paul Hampton, or one of our global teams and we would be more than happy to have a chat!
More information on the event and an exhibitor list can be found here: https://www.oceanbusiness.com/
We hope this year’s Ocean Business presents new and exciting opportunities for all involved, just like the previous years.
See you there,
Paul Hampton, Business Development Manager
