Time flies when you are working in a fast-paced industry with people you like – and Atlas Professionals Australia and New Zealand CEO Jim Caldwell seems to agree with that!
As a branch that experienced rapid growth and expansion in the past couple of years such as mergers with industry giants and initiation of influential programs, Atlas Professionals Australia and New Zealand presented themselves as challenging yet rewarding environments for all. As the world gears towards the latter part of the decade, it appears beneficial to have a quick look at developments of the past – so that we can be better equipped for the future.
To that end, here is Jim Caldwell with his insights on how he feels about working at Atlas Professionals Australia and New Zealand, what were some of the challenges they had to face and what the future looks like.
- What is your favourite thing about working for Atlas Professionals?
I love that no two days are the same. The fun, laughter challenges and people make it a fantastic place to work. - Where do you hope to see Atlas Professionals Australia and New Zealand in the next 5 years?
I want to see us at the forefront of the offshore wind revolution in Australia and New Zealand. When clients think of Renewables we are the people they reach for when they require staff. Our credentials mean that we actually have a vested interest in ensuring that we not only say we are part of the new energy transition but as exampled by our being the first and only carbon neutral offshore personnel business we actually live our values. - What has been the biggest or best lesson you have learned in the past 5 years?
I’m amazed with the resilience of people. When Covid-19 struck everyone joined together to share the pain. Our shared values helped to get us through the difficult times It was a humbling experience. - What are 5 words you would use to describe working for Atlas Professionals Australia and New Zealand?
Let’s have 6 – one for next year as well: Fun, challenging, supportive, inspirational, humbling and rewarding. - What is something you would like to say to your clients about the past 5 years?
The last 5 years has seen a seismic shift in the world in which we work, I believe that Atlas has supported our clients and staff through those times, positioned us well for the future and look forward the next 5 years with some excitement.
