"We have utilised Atlas's services for many years, previously we had individual connections with GSS, Seistech and DOOR. Now that these have been united under the Atlas umbrella one by one, the added advantage for us is that we only have to approach one person when we are in the market for survey personnel", Philippe Jacquier of the French company Acergy tells us. In the past he has worked in a number of different countries, in various positions including Project Manager for Fugro, prior to joining Acergy as a Survey Operations Manager. In his current position, he supervises three Survey Operation Coordinators, a Technical Superintendent and an Administrative Office Worker. He also manages a field operation of around 30 personnel that are deployed on board a number of vessels involved in West African activities.
"In terms of turnover, we are currently number four in this discipline, despite the fact that our visibility in this market is not very high since surveying is not Acergy's core business. Our mission is to perform at a high level and to provide our clients with the best possible standards in the coordinated range of services we offer. Technically speaking, we are involved in deep sea surveying -nowadays we go as deep as 2.500m- and in addition we offer supplementary services like data processing and QC, reporting, GIS etc. In the future we would like to increase the integration of the various areas in this field and to profile ourselves as one singly Acergy. That way we can make the most of the mutual synergy and offer worldwide services to our clients in the survey and IMR markets."
Well-qualified
