Recently Atlas Professionals Singapore had the pleasure and opportunity to welcome a delegation of officials from Timor-Leste to its office. Atlas hosted the delegation for a presentation showcasing its experience and capability in the region.
The invite to meet the delegation was extended to Atlas through its training provider in Dili, ISAT.
The delegation was made up of General Directors from the Timor-Leste State Secretary for Vocational Training and Employment and officials from the Finance Department and the Cabinet of SEFOPE.
The purpose of the delegation's visit to Singapore was to meet with established businesses that operate in the Oil and Gas sector that may be open to assisting with cadetships, training and placement opportunities on facilities in South East Asia and Australia for long term projects. This was a perfect opportunity for Atlas to showcase its recent projects and explain how Atlas has supported localization and training opportunities for the local people with placements of Timor-Leste nationals on the Maersk Deliverer and Edda Fides.
Atlas Professionals also recently provided training for T BOSIET, Sea Survival and Firefighting training for approximately 40 East Timorese. A bakery training for 6 candidates was also conducted in Dili.
The reception of the delegation was very well received and a planned follow-up has been arranged when the Atlas management team is next in Dili.
Atlas Professionals in Timor-Leste
In 2018, Atlas Professionals has established an entity in Timor-Leste providing a range of services including personnel, logistics and catering in support of its clients.
In 2017 Atlas Professionals provided substantial operational ground support services in Dili, Timor-Leste, for vessels transiting Dili Port for the Prelude and INPEX projects. Atlas has since been approached by multiple operators to share knowledge and advise on its success in Timor-Leste.
Over the past 2 years, Atlas Professionals has established a network of local partners in support of the above and have audited its supply chain to ensure that Atlas Professionals’ high standards are maintained.
