Clontarf Karratha Academy students complete Work Safety at Heights training - Funded by Polarcus

30 October 2018

In October, our client Polarcus funded a group of Clontarf Karratha Academy year 12 students in completing the nationally accredited Work Safely at Heights training with North West Training & Inspection Services.

Polarcus is an innovative marine geophysical company with a pioneering environmental agenda, delivering high-end towed streamer acquisition and imaging services globally. Polarcus also believes strongly in supporting local communities worldwide. Polarcus frequently operates offshore Australia and has seen the important work of the Clontarf Foundation which exists to improve the education, life skills and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men. Having clients like Polarcus fund training for Clontarf students in this way helps immensely with their future work prospects.

The students who attended the Work Safely at Heights training are now equipped with a foothold for future roles with skills encompassing heights safely, access and install of equipment, identifying work procedures and understanding instructions and requirements.

During each Australian campaign, Polarcus have supported our offshore Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Trainees and Cadets and we look forward to working with Polarcus on their next venture.

Atlas Professionals & the Clontarf Academy would like to thank our client, Polarcus, for their tremendous support in funding this initiative.
