Last week, Atlas Professionals exhibited at Offshore Wind Connections (OWC) at The Spa in Bridlington, UK. The fifth edition of OWC attracted national and international offshore wind delegates to declare the Humber region a world-leader in the development of Renewable energy.
Forging links with the USA
On the first day of the conference, visitors were witnesses to the signing of the sister city status memorandum agreement between Grimsby and New Bedford Massachusetts, USA. The signing will allow New Bedford’s biggest fishing port to embrace new links in offshore wind. New Bedford plans to install its own 1,600 MW offshore wind farm in the near future. Atlas’ Offshore wind team based in Bristol attended the event to catch up with clients and introduce some new faces to the company.
“It’s a unique event that brings together the regional supply chain, provides industry updates on projects closer to home opportunities and further afield.” – Patrick Ibeziako, Account Manager.
Lucky winner
Congratulations to the lucky winner of the Ocean Explorer Lego ship, James Costello, Careers & Employment Manager for Maersk.
Overall the event was a great opportunity for Atlas Professionals to discuss the latest developments in offshore wind with industry leaders and local content.
