Last week Atlas Professionals attended the Subsea Expo exhibition in Aberdeen. With 4,500 visitors from around the world, the exhibition was a great success and a promising start to the year for the subsea market.
Promising signs of recovery
As the largest subsea event in Europe, Atlas had a busy three days catching up with clients and introducing our company to some new faces. Representatives from our UK teams in Survey, ROV, Diving & Inspection and Management & QC were on hand to discuss the market and upcoming job opportunities.
Over the course of the three days the exhibition showed promising signs of recovery for the subsea markets. Paul Hampton, Survey Business Manager said: “With the raised confidence in the market, an associated interest in Atlas’s services was evident with Clients and Professionals alike keen to speak to our Team. Atlas Professionals again finds itself in a prime position to service these market needs, and this has come from forward thinking and assessing the direction of the market in which we work.”
We have our winner
During the three days, Atlas played game show host for its own offshore industry quiz. Visitors were tested on their knowledge of the subsea market and Atlas with 20 questions that ranged from the technical to the obscure! Our lucky winner turned up on the final day of the Expo and stormed to the top of the leader board. Congratulations to surveyor Andy Macnie who walked away with the LEGO Ocean Explorer!
Atlas Corporate Solutions
Atlas’ latest innovation, Atlas Corporate Solutions, was also presented to visitors at the stand and on an individual basis. The bespoke online crewing management tool allows clients to access operational data 24/7, creating cost efficiency through streamlined planning, utilising a pre-qualified and compliant pool of professionals.
Overall, the event was a great success and generated an optimistic outlook for the future of the subsea industries.
