The launching ceremony of the 1.840 m3 twin screw trailing suction hopper dredger “Mahury” took place at MTG Dolphin Shipyard in Varna, Bulgaria, on August 10, 2015.

This is the second ship in series (after “Albatros”), being built by order of Royal IHC for Dutch Dredging.

The vessel will be capable of dredging with one trailing suction pipe up to depths of 30 meters, delivering the spoil either into the hopper, or directly overboard.

Main characteristics:

  • Length: 75 m;
  • Breadth: 13,40 m;
  • Draft: 4,10 m;
  • Hopper capacity: 1’840 m3.
