‘Atlas Professionals do Brasil’ based in Macaé and Rio de Janeiro specialises in the supply of Brazilian marine crew and offshore personnel for vessels and platforms in markets such as offshore marine, drilling & well services, exploration & production, seismic and survey. The office also supplies onshore oil & gas personnel to other business lines such as Discipline Engineering & Project controls.
One of the Biggest Events in Exploration
This year Atlas’ Brazil office will attend its first event, Brasil Offshore. The event is the 3rd largest congregation of industry leaders, including more than 9,000 Petrobas employees and contractors. Exhibitors and visitors will be able to meet industry leaders and discuss new exploration and production technologies.
This biennial event has been attracting more than 700 exhibitors and 53,000 visitors each year. Due to its size, Brazil offshore is jointly organised and promoted by Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado, IBP (the Brazilian Institute of Oil and Gas) and SPE (the society of Petroleum Engineers).
Spreading the word: ‘Atlas Professionals do Brasil’
For ten years Atlas has had a presence in Brazil through its company ‘Jaymar do Brasil’ however, in 2014, ‘Jaymar do Brasil’ changed its name to ‘Atlas Professionals do Brasil’. The Brasil Offshore event is a great opportunity for Atlas’ staff to announce this brand change and introduce the office’s new look and presence in Brazil’s offshore industry. In the last decade, Brazil has also become the pinnacle location for the exploration of pre-salt oil reserves, which has opened doors for personnel in Brazil.
Huge Potential in Brazil
“Atlas has never participated in an event in Brazil and it is very important that we start attending these types of events in this country,” explains Atlas Director of Brazil, Joris Steinberg. “Even though Brazil is going through some difficult times, both economically and politically, it is still a country with a huge market potential.
The Brazilian market possesses huge potential for Atlas, as it allows our world-wide offices and business lines to use their experience and knowledge to help our local Brazilian and international clients seize the full opportunity these oil reserves and other projects present.”
A few of the Atlas’ staff based in Brazil will be attending the event as well as Atlas Director Andrew Blears from the Offshore Survey and Construction & ROV office based in Newquay.
Brasil Offshore is a great platform for Atlas’ Brazil office as the event’s status and capacity will introduce more personnel into another region of work and offshore projects through Atlas Professionals.
