As part of Atlas’ 15 business lines, Discipline Engineering and Project Controls (DE&PC) has expanded its recruitment base to deal with the heightened demand for international projects. With its main office based in Hoofddorp in The Netherlands, DE&PC previously focused on the Dutch energy sector where it built a strong reputation finding local content in The Netherlands, placing professionals from Technical Engineers and Project Managers to Project Control professionals in temporary and permanent positions. However, now that the business line has expanded into international projects in the energy and marine industries, DE&PC's larger recruitment capacity can deal with this demand from their clients.
“Many of our Personnel Co-ordinators in Atlas are involved with a variety of disciplines, recruiting professionals on an international scale,” explains Michel Lentink, Business Manager for DE&PC. “We decided to expand into one of our existing UK offices. With Bristol’s Personnel Co-ordinators Patrick Ibeziako, Carlos De-Souza and Ben Graham, DE&PC can now cater to the demands of our clients based outside of The Netherlands. We now have an even better capacity to supply to our international clients, having strengthened our team with English native speakers to communicate with international professionals. This office is in an ideal location for us, with the team based here we can also focus on bigger projects and in different markets such as offshore wind and shipbuilding.”
This expansion will not only affect headhunting possibilities for professionals, but will also assure clients that by expanding the recruitment base for this niche Atlas are able to supply a diverse range of professionals to their projects, due to the different backgrounds of specialists that are placed in the offices.
“Like our other business lines we are specialists in DE&PC,” explains Personnel Co-ordinator Patrick Ibeziako, “since I began working for Atlas, all of the recruiting team for DE&PC has had specific and focused training in regular candidate contact and developing an excellent market understanding. In broadening this department, we have also expanded our headhunting searches utilising our extensive bespoke database and our social media networks such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. In just a few short months we have already worked with key clients in Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Angola, The Netherlands and Norway where we have been able to source quality candidates for each of these projects both locals and expats.”
With the majority of our business lines expanding all over the world, Atlas is still focused on being a leading figure in international offshore recruitment.
