In August 2010, Atlas Services Group Australia (ASGA) was commissioned to recruit 5 Marine Pilots for the Port of Sohar, a JV between the Omani Government and the Port of Rotterdam.
The process took just under three months and involved extensive searching, selecting and short listing. This task was made easy with the majority of candidates being sourced via the Atlas4jobs website.
In total 360 candidates applied from over 43 countries due to a campaign created by Atlas4Jobs. Of these candidates, 10 possibles were flown to Alexandria in Egypt for testing in the Pilotage Simulator. Finally, 5 Pilots were selected.
