Atlas Professionals (Atlas) is committed to providing a safe, reliable and competent workforce and working to meet clients’ needs. With this in mind, we have become an active participant in assisting the development of professionals through competency and training. As a result of this, Atlas is happy to announce the addition of two additional EIVA courses to our current training programme!
In collaboration with EIVA, Atlas is able to offer global training courses to professionals on EIVA’s navigation and processing software. As well as developing their current training package, EIVA have invested in creating two new courses within the NaviSuite: the Basic NaviPac Operation training course and the Basic NaviPac Configuration training course.
These two courses will be of interest to those who would like to gain a general knowledge of the NaviPac software and aims to provide the trainees with a broad understanding of this package. The courses can be followed separately but would also complement each other well.
The two day Basic NaviPac Operation course will give trainees the confidence to use this software online. Because of this, the course is aimed at operators who have (basic) navigation survey knowledge.
The one day Basic NaviPac Configuration course will give trainees the confidence to mobilise the software on a vessel. The course focuses on how to set up a configuration (not on the daily online use). Professionals who require training in configuring NaviPac software will find this course of specific interest.
Atlas’ focus on investing in personal development will increase in 2015. Dingena Theunisse, Competence & Training Manager, explains, “Investing time in training proves to be a good allocation of time, especially given the current challenges that the market could face. Enhancing knowledge through the courses such as the ones provided by EIVA will further ensure that professionals can take on different opportunities within the industry. Within the last year, it was great to see clients also attending these courses and we hope that this will continue throughout the new year.”
"In cooperation with Atlas Professionals, we have increased the amount of training courses that we offer over the last three years. We are proud that in 2014 we were able to offer training courses on our software solutions in nineteen countries. In the new year, our collaboration will allow us to hold courses in even more countries as the number of courses will increase further. This means that we can meet our customers where they are and thereby provide many more professionals with the opportunity to improve their knowledge of EIVA’s software solutions. With our two new NaviPac training courses, we hope to accommodate even more of our customers’ specific needs for education and training. We look forward to expanding our courses with Atlas Professionals to the benefit both our customers and the users of our software." (Mai Nedergaard, EIVA’s Account Manager for Training).
The first set of Basic NaviPac Operation and Basic NaviPac Configuration courses offered through Atlas Professionals is scheduled for February 2015 in Aberdeen, Scotland. If you would like further information on EIVA’s curriculum or other courses, please feel free to contact Dingena Theunisse on dtheunisse@atlasprofessionals.com.
