12 December 2014
2014 has been a busy year for the Offshore Survey and Construction industry. Our ROV and Survey teams both increased time and attention to help our professionals all over the world. Their hard work to improve our business development has resulted in securing several projects in Europe, Africa and Asia.
We were also able to add value to our professionals and clients from a logistical and compliance point of view in areas such as Brazil, Australia, India and Asia, thereby increasing opportunities for personnel that previously may not have existed.
To address the Compliance and Competence risk for our clients, our internal tax department was expanded and we took on the challenge of starting a new Atlas Competence Scheme for freelancers. To help promote the new scheme, we were also invited by IMCA to share our experience so far at their regional Competence & Training Seminars.
Finally, we hosted the launch party for the new Offshore Survey and Construction office in Singapore for which we received an increase in local requirements overnight!
All this talk about our achievements is one thing, but without people, we have nothing. We have always wanted to get to know people better, whether it is meeting them at trade shows, vessel visits, beach BBQ’s or inviting you to our office. During 2014, we met with more of you than ever, and this is something we will continue in 2015. We feel that it is important, if not vital, that you get to know who you are trusting in representing you.
Looking towards 2015, we are confident in coping with any market pressures due to our vast client base and our work with the best professionals in their field. However, 2015 is a time to focus on training and development, so that we can help you progress in reaching your ambitions, together!
From all of us here at the Atlas Professionals Offshore Survey and Construction team, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Yours sincerely
Andrew Blears
