Job description
- Discuss and advise with the Dredge Master.
- Maintain an optimal maintenance of the dredging installation in cooperation with the Dredge master.
- Maintain the safety and environmental regulations on board (ISPS)
- Operate the dredger and booster at a maximum daily production, according to the operational capabilities of the dredger and boosters and ensure the daily productions according to the project requirements.
- Delegate specific responsibilities to dredge mates. Assess their performance and suggest efficiency improvement activities. Identify risks and appropriate mitigations.
Job requirements
Experience on dredging vessels preferable on Hopper Dredgers• Valid STCW CoC rating forming part of a navigational watch
• Valid STCW Basic Safety
• Valid Security Awareness
• Valid Seaman’s book
• Valid Seafarer medical certificate
