As a Multicat Master at Atlas Professionals, you will be responsible for operating and managing multicat vessels to ensure safe and efficient operations. This is an ongoing vacancy as we continually seek to expand our team with qualified professionals.

You will be in charge of supervising the crew in order to ensure that assigned equipment is used in such a manner that optimal production is achieved in compliance with safety, maritime and environmental regulations at all times.

Job description

This job description is a guideline for your function and contains the most elementary tasks and responsibilities. Any interpretation of this job description is at the discretion of your superior.
  • Supervision of all ship activities. Final responsibility on board.
  • Co-ordination of crew activities.
  • Yearly assessment of the crew.
  • Consultation with Project Manager regarding the vessel’s production and work methods on the project.
  • Negotiations with agents, pilots and harbor authorities.
  • Checking and maintaining of safety and environmental regulations (e.g. ISM & ISPS) on board.
  • Representation of the Dutch Government abroad.
  • Optimizing of the production and the continuity of the vessel.
  • To maintain ships- and personnel administration (e.g. ships log, daily report).
  • Comply with national and international maritime law and regulations.
  •  Prepare Master Review yearly.   
  • Ensures that maintenance is carried out in an efficient and most economical manner. 

Job requirements

  • Proven experience as a Multicat Master.
  • Valid certification and licensing for operating multicat vessels.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime safety regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
