Our client is seeking 2nd Assistant Engineers to join the crew of their offshore wind installation vessel. Candidates must be US citizens and have experience on large vessels.
Job description
- Liaise with the Chief Engineer to ensure that engineering assistance is available to maintain critical systems onboard.
- Report to the Chief Engineer on spare parts used.
- Liaise with the Chief Engineer and other vessel crew to ensure that at all times maintenance works are coordinated under the instruction of the Chief Engineer.
- Assist with the maintaining of essential services in the case of a vessel emergency.
- Ensure that proper records and logs are kept as required by Seajacks internal procedures.
- Ensure that all vessel equipment is in a condition complying with the applicable regulations.
- Ensure that testing, effective maintenance, replacements to systems and components are carried out with reference to manufacturers approved operation and maintenance procedures.
Job requirements
- Must hold US citizenship
- Must hold valid USCG endorsement (unlimited)
