About the Role

This Junior Engineer role is more than just a desk job - it's a chance to be hands-on with field visits around Taranaki and offshore locations. While the primary focus is office-based, occasional on-site work ensures you grasp the intricacies of our teams and processes, fostering a holistic understanding of our operations.

As a focal point within the Workover Operations team, you'll play a pivotal role in providing technical assistance across all facets of the well delivery process for intervention and workover. This includes contributing to activity scheduling and mastering data management. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and delivery of an integrated optimised workover activity plan. Includes integration into the OMV companywide Integrated Activity Plan and 90 day plan.
  • Planning support to the Workover Team, generating detailed project plans where required for individual projects and activities. Maintain and update specific project related schedules as required.
  • Technical support in preparing appropriate well barrier schematics with defined primary and secondary well barriers and well barrier elements to the Workover team.
  • Focal point for well integrity execution activities (wellhead/tree maintenance and repairs) and contract holder for service providers of this scope.
  • Management and maintenance of well integrity data and software systems.
  • Manage and maintain a workover activity regulatory compliance tracker.
  • Track and maintain critical spares inventory for well integrity purposes.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in the energy sector and a Bachelor's degree e.g. petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, geology or a related field is preferred (but do not let this put you off!).
  • Foundational understanding of mechanical engineering
  • Strong on systems, business processes and IT literate - training will be provided in Primavera, Safewells, SAP and Contract Holdership
  • An aptitude for creating workflows and tracking systems would be advantageous.
  • You will need to work collaboratively and be flexible and adaptable to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, in a changing environment.
