We are looking for a Controls Hydraulic Technician for an upcoming international project. 

Job description

Our client is looking for an experienced Controls Hydraulic Technician. The role will be based in Guyana with some offshore visits involved to FPSO offshore Suriname.


The Controls Hydraulic Technician will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic systems and equipment which is critical to subsea production and FPSO operations. The successful candidate will be working with hydraulic power units (HPU's0), subsea control modules, umbilicals and FPSO topside hydraulic systems to ensure reliable productions and safety in offshore environments. 


Applicants are advised this position will be based in Guyana yard, but there will be offshore involved on FPSO vessels, platforms, or support vessels, often in remote harsh environments.

Job requirements

Minimum of 2-5 years experience in offshore oil and gas, preferably with hydraulic systems in subsea or FPSO environments.
Experience with subsea control systems, ROV hydraulic systems, or FPSO topside hydraulic equipment is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic principles, components (e.g. pumps, valves, actuators and fluid management).

  • Valid offshore certificates including OPITO approved BOSIET, HUET
  • Associate's degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, hydraulic systems, or a related technical discipline
  • Physical fitness to handle demanding offshore work, including climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces
