Job Description:
As the Master of a Dutch-flagged tugboat (approx. 380 GT), you will have full responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel during an offshore assignment in Libya. Your key duties will include:

Commanding the vessel and ensuring safe navigation at all times
-
Managing and leading the crew onboard, ensuring high standards of safety and discipline
-
Overseeing tug operations including towing, positioning, and escort duties
-
Ensuring compliance with all international maritime regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
-
Maintaining accurate records, logs, and reports related to vessel operations
-
Coordinating with project teams and offshore installations to support operational requirements
-
Responding promptly and effectively to emergencies and unforeseen situations

Participating in safety drills and contributing to a strong safety culture onboard
Job requirements
Requirements:
-
COC A-II/2 of STCW Code Master 500 GT or more
-
Proven experience as Master on tugboats, preferably in offshore operations
-
Strong knowledge of tug operations, including towing and maneuvering techniques
-
Excellent leadership and crew management skills
-
Good understanding of international maritime regulations and safety standards
-
Ability to operate effectively under pressure and in challenging offshore environments
-
Proficient in spoken and written English
-
Valid medical certificate compliant with STCW/MLC requirements
-
Willingness to work on vessel-based assignments for the contract duration
