Qualified Chief Officer for a Dutch-flagged containership
-
Vessel type: Containership
-
Gross Tonnage (GT): 5,067
-
Propulsion: MaK 8M43 engine, 5,995 kW
-
Operating in international waters
-
Responsible for overseeing deck operations including cargo handling and container stowage
-
Assisting the Master with navigation and bridge watchkeeping duties
-
Supervising and leading the deck crew to ensure safety and efficiency
-
Implementing and monitoring safety procedures and drills
-
Managing ballast operations to maintain vessel stability
-
Maintaining accurate records and logs according to regulations
-
Ensuring compliance with international maritime laws and company policies
Job requirements
Job Requirements – Chief Officer-
Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) Unlimited Chief Officer
-
Valid STCW certificates, including:
-
Advanced Fire Fighting
-
Medical First Aid
-
Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats
-
-
Valid Seafarer Medical Certificate (STCW/MLC compliant)
-
Valid Seaman’s Book
-
Proven experience as Chief Officer on containershipsÂ
-
Good command of English, both spoken and written
-
Strong leadership and communication skills
-
Knowledge of international maritime regulations and safety procedures
-
Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure
