We are looking for a Chief Engineer for a Carrousel Rave TUG / VSP
Job description
We are seeking a Chief Engineer for a vessel that is operating in The Netherlands for a term of 2 weeks.
You will be responsible for the maintenance and operational readiness of all engineering systems onboard, ensuring that the vessel is safe, efficient, and ready for all operational tasks.
About the Vessel:
- Flag: Dutch
- Type: Highly versatile and well-equipped tugboat
- Designed for: A variety of offshore operations, including:
- Towing
- Fire-fighting
- Escorting
- Propulsion: Voith-Schneider Propellers (VSP)
- Fire-fighting capabilities: 2,700 m³/hour
- Maximum Bollard Pull: 77 tons
Job requirements
- STCW Chief Engineer (III/2) certificate
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Experience with the maintenance of Voith-Schneider Propellers (VSP) is a plus.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during operations.
- Valid Seaman’s Book and Medical Certificate.
- Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
